Font - Wanted to share a feel good story that happened recently. For context, my dog is a mutt and a HUGE party animal. He is the most fun loving animal I've ever been around - really social, will ham it up if people give him attention in stores, on walks etc... He has a pretty good trick repertoire (Shake a paw, touch, identifying different toys etc...) and we have a lot of fun working on them together and have been doing so since he was a lil' pup.

Font - I'm not a big crier. He hasn't really ever seen me cry so I've never seen him react to it before. I had a low moment and started having a good cry on a walk with my dog recently.

Font - Well to my pleasant surprise he pulled out every trick he knew to cheer me up. Did a nice happy goofy sit to get my attention, BIG play bow, gave a paw, kisses, and a trick I taught him called "tunnel" where he walks between my legs and loops around.

Font - He was SO exuberant and insistent that I give him attention it totally snapped me out of my cry and I started laughing. It was a really effective distraction! He leaned up against my shins at the end for pets. I've never experienced this behaviour from a doggo before and honestly it made me feel so loved.

Font - Yawning TurtleTouch 15 days ago . Totally brightened my day to hear this, I love dogs!! Mine sits with me while I'm having health problems, like tachycardia, something I was terrified my pet would be scared of me for. But she's always right there to sit on my lap till I'm calmed down again, just steady as a rock. I think they know what you need better than you do sometimes

Font - katehenry4133 - 15 days ago I had a Norwich Terrier I taught tricks (sit, down, roll over, shake, dance and take a bow). People would ask me if he knew any tricks and all I would say is 'show them your tricks Chaser' and he would do all his tricks then take bow. Often when I sensed someone was kind of down, I would say 'want to see my dog's tricks'. Never failed to lighten a mood and cheer people up.

Font - Goodboy_Otis - 14 days ago This why for the last 60 years, if I don't have at least one dog, my mental health turns to shit pretty quickly. They just give pure love all the time and recognize when you need a little bit extra. And I get to love them back. win/win for life.

Font - phiegnux 14 days ago . My dog once did something in a similar scenario. I was on the verge of tears and he came over and applied pressure with his head. I moved to the floor and he continued, felt like a warm weighted blanket. Come to find out, this is something dogs can be trained to do. I've been reinforcing it when he offers.

Font - scatterbrayne94 - 14 days ago Dogs are earth angels My sweet girl, also an exuberant mutt, boops me with her nose and showers me in kisses until I stop crying. The first time it happened I was kind of surprised but overwhelmed with love and gratitude. What did we do to deserve dogs?

Font - Desperate-Upstairs76 14 days ago Sometimes our dogs know exactly what we need. We'd had our rescue for five years when my little brother suddenly passed. That night, a couple of friends I was supposed to be going out with came over to be with me. Our dog always disappears when people come over. She always lets out a huff/deflating balloon sound, runs into our room, and doesn't come back out until everyone is gone. That night, she came out and laid right by my side on the couch. She didn't

Font - Soft-Swordfish-904 14 days ago I was having a rough day today with my two dogs. One is an 8 month old and the other one is 6 years old. It's been very difficult and stressful for my husband and I to teach them to coexist. Today, we both felt down about both of our dogs and thinking how different our life would've been without them. Dogs are obviously a huge responsibility and we love both of our dogs to death but it can get tough with keeping them separate and all. With my husband traveli
